We've been recording video blogs for you guys but due to limited access of video editing program and internet, I think those might have to wait until after the month is over...
There are a total of 110 of us students, ranging from students within the country to all the way from Kenya. With staff, 121. We arrived to our first session of the month with a fun introduction from the people who were going to be our "parents". Our small groups are called "family group", since we will be spending majority of our time here together.

After the first session, the family groups got together and truthfully, mine is AWESOME. We clicked right after the first day.

On our second day, we decided to call ourselves... THE GYMNASTICS INCARNATE. Don't ask, I don't know why, but it's one of our inside jokes now.
Our leader, who we call "Pops", is the same age as my brother, but has been leading us very well in all the things. Starting tonight, we decided to handle some challenging questions our non-Christian friends has asked us before ("How come we believe in a Bible that has been put together by men?", "Differences between different Christianity groups and cults, etc.?").
We have only been here for three days and it already feels like a week. Even though on our schedule it may seem like we have a lot of free time, but the workshops and trainings we've already gone through drains us so much that the free time is pretty necessary.
Manuscript studying every morning...
... and always so serious about it. Trust me.
As for those that are curious about how Ben is doing, he's aiiiiiiiite. Clicking with his family group as well, tired, and always playing basketball just like back at home. Having awesome, challening conversations with some of the people we've met here too. Today we talked about Presidents of chapters drinking during scripture time also and... personally, I think he needed to hear that. Just kidding! But it was still funny haha.
Hopefully we'll find time once again to come to this library to update next week! See ya later, alligators.
Sounds like you guys are having fun :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the videos and hearing stories from you guys when we see you again :D have fun, be safe, and let God work his holy spirit in you ;) <3
